Weight-loss friendly omelette recipe
Hi guys! When I say weight-loss-friendly, I mean no added trans fats, no processed ingredients, no unnecessary artificial ingredients filled with empty calories but, high in protein, high in nutrients, fibre and complex carb recipes.
This breakfast recipe will keep you satiated through the day for sure! You can make this cholesterol-friendly by adding two egg whites instead of one whole egg.
Don't forget this recipe is also kid-friendly and extremely nutritious. One more good thing is that you can make the batter the previous day and refrigerate overnight and cook the omelette the next day! So great as a meal prep option as well.
INGREDIENTS
1 Large tomato
1 green chilli
1 egg or 2 egg whites
4 tbsp of rolled oats
1/3 of an onion or few spring onion leaves
thumb size chunk of low fat cheese ( or what ever cheese you prefer)
Pinch of salt
Chilli flakes
METHOD
Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender or a food processor and blend until it creates a smooth batter.
Heat up the skillet and spray with some olive oil if its not a non-stick pan. If it is a non-stick pan simply pour the batter, spread and cover with the lid for about 20-20 seconds or until the corners of the omelette bubbles!
Flip the omelette carefully and cook the other side while the lid is on. Keep checking to make sure the omelette does not burn.
Enjoy !
