Milk chocolate waffles
These are just too yummy ! Have you ever had Belgium waffles? crispy on the outside and just the right softness in the inside? these do mimic them for sure! I didnβt use any sugars are gluten filled flour, I used oat flour and wheat flour to get that right texture!
Hope you guys love it as much as I did ! This recipe will make two medium sized waffles! I do make these in smaller quantities as otherwise, I will be eating them like nothing !
Prep time : 3-4 min
Cook time : 2 min each
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup oat flour ( link to purchase- buy whole foods oat flour)
3 tbsp of whole wheat flour ( link to purchase- buy whole foods wheat flour)
1 tbsp of greek yoghurt or apple sauce
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
Sugar free melted chocolate to dip the chocolate in! ( 4 pieces should be sufficient )
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
1/2 tsp of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/3 cup water ( optional)
METHOD
Mix oat flour, wheat flour, pinch of salt and baking powder; sieve through to get a fine texture. ( I always do this as Iβm not a fan of lumps and clumps).
Beat the egg, coconut sugar, yoghurt and vanilla bean paste to a creamy texture.
Mix the dry flour mixture with the wet mixture and beat or whisk until everything is incorporated.
If you think the texture is thick, please add water to get your desired texture, I like my waffles thick and dense! so I did not add any water to this recipe.
Heat up the waffle iron, make waffles !
let the waffles cool completely and dip them in chocolate!
Enjoy !!!
