Low-carb pizza
Hi everyone! if you check my Instagram, I posted a video of me making this very recipe. I promised to give you the exact quantities ! so here it is.
Serving size: one Small pizza
Prep and cook time: 40 min approximately.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of oat flour ( when I say oat flour, you simply blend the rolled oats and sieve through to get a fine texture, it will get rid of the clumps and also makes the end product fluffier) plus some extra for rolling.
1 egg
1 cup of warm water
2-3 tsp of oregano ( adjust to your liking)
Pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder ( optional)
TOPPINGS
Please feel free to use your own toppings. I used pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, olives, onions, etc.
If you are using meat,t please cook before you put it as a topping.
METHOD
In a medium-sized bowl, add all the ingredients and mix well to combine. It will be sticky at first but keep mixing until it forms a soft dough. Taste test. Add more salt or any seasoning to your liking.
Cover and let the dough rest inside the fridge for about 15 min.
Take a baking sheet, add extra oat flour, spread it, and place the dough ball on top.
Add a bit more oat flour on the top of the dough and place another baking sheet on top.
Take a rolling pin and roll to your desired shape.
Bake at 180c for about 15 min, take the crust out add toppings and bake for a further few mins until everything is cooked.
