Chilli garlic green beans with a honey twist!
Guys ! this recipe is a must to try out, very easy to make… packed with flavour!
Ingredients
• 500g of green beans cut in to half
• 1 lemon grass
• Few coriander leaves
• 2-3 green chillies
• 1 finely diced onion
• 1/2 cup of thick coconut milk from a can
• 3-4 garlic cloves
• Small piece of ginger
• 1.5 tbsp of honey tradition honey-dew honey ( buy honey-dew honey here!)
• 1.5 tbsp of light soy sauce
• Salt and pepper to taste
• ½ tbsp of olive oil
Method
• Steam the green beans and set aside.
• In a food processor, add the lemon grass, coriander leaves, green chillies, garlic, ginger and soy sauce, blitz three to four times until it creates a coarse paste.
• In a skillet, add the olive oil or any oil of your preference, add diced onion and 1 tbsp of honey-dew honey and sautee until golden brown. ( this will take about 5 min)
• Add thai green paste we made and coconut milk, cook for about 10 min until the sauce thickens. ( keep stirring during this time)
• Once the curry sauce thickens, add in the steamed green beans and the rest of the ½ tbsp honey dew honey, salt and a bit of pepper and mix well.
• Taste test, add more salt or honey if desired and mix well
