Baked garlic and herb tofu

Baked garlic and herb tofu

Serving size : 2

Prep and cook time : 30-40 min

Temperature for baking 180c

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Packet or 300g of medium firm tofu

  • 1 tbsp of garlic powder

  • 2 tsp of dried chives ( adjust to your liking)

  • 2 tsp of dried parsley ( adjust to your liking)

  • 1 tbsp toasted seasame seeds to sprinkle on top

  • Few Sprays of olive oil

Ingredients for sauce: 2 tbsp of light soy sauce with 1/2 tbsp of honey

METHOD

  • Cut the tofu length-wise to get to large rectangular pieces.

  • Poke the tofu pieces and set aside.

  • Mix the seasonings and dry pat the tofu until the tofu gets coated well.

  • Spray the tofu with oil

  • Add a baking sheet to the baking tray and place the tofu gently on the baking sheet.

  • Bake for 30-40 min until the edges get light brown.

  • Just before serving, pour over the soy/honey dressing and slather the tofu and sprinkle some sesame seeds !
